Homes of Hope

A group of Youth With A Mission staff from Los Angeles came to Tijuana in 1990 to build one house for a needy family. As the home was being constructed, the YWAM team couldn't help but realize the incredible need so close to our border. Just next door to that first home, a bus had crashed into the hillside and was abandoned. A family had moved into this bus and made it their home. Sean Lambert and his three year-old daughter, Andrea, were deeply touched by this family's need. Andrea kept saying, "Daddy, are you going to build a house for the family in the crashed bus?" A few months later, the family received a new home and Homes of Hope was born.
